About Enrollment

When can I enroll my child at AIKB35? Can I enroll in the middle of the school year?

The new school year starts in April. It is also possible to enroll in the middle of the school year, depending on availability. Please contact us in advance to check if there are any openings in your preferred class. For inquiries, please contact us via LINE ID: aikb35or by filling out the inquiry form.

Are there specific clothing or bag requirements?

Yes, students are required to have a uniform, gym uniform, school bag, and handbag. These designated items can be purchased at the orientation before or after enrollment.

How many classes are there per level?

There are three classes per level, with a maximum of 20 students per class.

What is the minimum age for enrollment?

Children can enroll in the youngest class if they turn 3 years old within the current school year. For example, for the 2025 school year, a child must be born between April 2, 2021, and April 1, 2022, to be eligible for enrollment.

Are class changes possible?

Yes, class changes may occur at the time of promotion or during the school year, depending on class management needs.

Commuting to and from Preschool

What are the arrival and dismissal times?

Arrival time is from 7:45 to 9:00 a.m., and dismissal time is at 2:30 p.m. For students participating in extracurricular activities, pick-up time will be from 3:45 – 4:00 p.m. Extended care is available until 6:00 p.m.

Does the bus provide home pick-up and drop-off?

Yes, we offer pick-up and drop-off services at your condominium or apartment.

What areas does the school bus cover?

The school bus operates in the Asoke to Thonglor area.
Odd-numbered side of Sukhumvit Road: Soi 23 to Soi 55
Even-numbered side of Sukhumvit Road: Soi 24 to Soi 38
Pick-up and drop-off services are not available in the Ekamai and Phra Khanong areas. If you require bus service, please inquire in advance.

About Life at Preschool

What events and activities are held for children and parents?

The following events are held annually:
June: Class visit (optional parent participation)
July: Star Festival, Summer Festival
August: Parent-teacher conferences (optional)
October: Halloween
November: Loi Krathong Festival, Sports Day (optional parent participation)
December: Christmas Presentation (optional parent participation)
February: Setsubun
March: Graduation Ceremony

Do you offer childcare services?

Yes, we provide childcare services on school days for a fee of 100 THB per 30 minutes, available until 6:00 p.m.

What happens if I cannot pick up my child on time?

Without afterschool activities: Pick-up time is until 3:00 p.m.
With afterschool activities: Pick-up time is until 4:00 p.m.
If a child is not picked up on time, they will be placed in daycare until 4:00 p.m. (if afterschool is attended) or 6:00 p.m. for an additional fee.
In case of an emergency, please contact us, and we will arrange for daycare.

What happens if my child gets injured or has a fever?

Minor injuries (e.g., scrapes and bruises) will be treated at school, and parents will be informed upon pick-up.
In case of fever, we will contact the emergency contact person for immediate pick-up.
For serious injuries, AIKB35 staff will assess the situation and, if necessary, take the child to the hospital while notifying the emergency contact.

How is security ensured at the kindergarten?

We have a 24-hour security system provided by ALSOK (Sogo Security Service).
Security guards monitor the entrance at all times, and visitors must use an intercom before entry.
Security cameras are installed at the main gate, playground, and parking area, with 24-hour recording and monitoring.

Is air conditioning provided?

Yes, all rooms are air-conditioned. Additionally, plasma cluster ion air purifiers and humidifiers are installed in classrooms and staff rooms to maintain a comfortable air environment.

Is there daily swimming?

No, we do not offer swimming classes.

Is there a Parent-Teacher Association (PTA)?

No, there is no PTA.

What are the typical paths after graduation?

Each year, approximately:
70-80% of graduates continue to Japanese School Bangkok
20-30% enroll in international schools

How are high PM2.5 days handled?

On days with high PM2.5 levels, outdoor play is restricted for health reasons. Instead, children engage in: Indoor play - blocks, puzzles, storytelling, etc. Arts & Crafts - coloring, origami, clay modeling, etc. Physical activities indoors - dodgeball, tag, slides, climbing walls, etc. Story Time - activities that encourage imagination and creativity.

About Meals

How are food allergies handled?

School lunches are provided on a choice basis and prepared in the school kitchen.
Parents must complete an allergy survey in advance.
Allergy-free meals are available for milk, eggs, sesame, nuts, and shellfish.
If a child has multiple allergies or a severe allergy, parents may be required to provide a home-packed lunch.
Please inquire in advance for special dietary needs.

About Fees and Payment

Can invoice details be adjusted?

No, our fees comply with the Thai Ministry of Education's approval and cannot be modified. For example, tuition fees cannot be combined with meal or utility costs.

Can invoices be issued under a company name?

Invoices are issued in the name of the enrolled child.

About Educational Visas

Can you issue an educational visa?

Yes. As a preschool approved by the Thai Ministry of Education, we can provide the necessary documents for your child's education visa.
However, parents/guardians are responsible for the application process, including any accompanying visa applications.

Are there students attending on an educational visa?

Yes, we have an increasing number of students enrolling under an educational visa.

Are there any special fees for obtaining an educational visa?

Yes, there is an annual administrative fee of 10,000 THB for processing educational visas.
